Hot Tips: Step-By-Step Nail Art You Can Create at Home!
Published in Paperback by Crown Pub (November, 1996)
Authors: Sandra Marion and Colette Moncion
Average review score:

Not enough art
The art in this book was not like the art that you normally see on peoples nails... I bought this book and it gave a lot of information on the manicuring, but the thing I was hoping to find in it was nail art, and what I found was very dissapointing... So if you are looking for a book with lots of nail art ideas, this is the wrong book....

Good book for beginners looking for the basics of manicuring
While this book has a lot of good, basic information on hand and nail care, it is all done in black and white. The only color photography appears on the front and back covers. Since it is a book on nail art, I would have hoped for directions, in color, for doing the nail art. For the price, it is still a good reference book for the beginning manicurist.

Arco Everything You Need to Score High McAt Sample Exams (Arco Academic Test Preparation)

ARCO MCAT Sample Exams 4th Ed
This is the worst practice test/MCAT prep book out there. Numerous mistakes of every kind. Stay away like the plague.

Same Exams all over again
These folks have been using the same exams for years (and they're not terribly good interms of accuracy to the MCAT format). Not worth it.

Move On: More Harmful Than Helpful
This text was such a waste of money. The editor's of these tests did absolutely nothing, as far as I'm concerned. An example, there was a independent question in the physical sciences that had no correct answer. Do you know how frustrating that is after taking a day long test? That's not it. The exam was littered with errors and even more incorrect answers.

ZZZZzzzzzzzzz
Great book....if you're having trouble sleeping.

What a yawner! Don't bother.

Very redundent information. Full of steriotypes and anger about the abuse of Witches through history. What group of people haven't gone through horrors at one point or another?

Nothing in this book you wouldn't find on any Pagan chat or forum.

Save your money and your time. Give this one a pass.

The Door Through Space
Published in Paperback by Ace Books (August, 1979)
Author: Marion Zimmer Bradley
Average review score:

An Awful Book by and Excellent Author
Before she went on to write some of the greatest classics in science fiction and fantasy, Marion Zimmer Bradley, believe it or not, wrote some awful novels. This is one.

The "Door through Space" is an unremarkable (and almost unreadable) space-travel novel so like many others written at this time. It is pseudo-hard science fiction -- that is, a technologically-focused book with a little metaphysical nonsense thrown in. Marion Zimmer Bradley, when an editor, once said she would never buy a spaceship story in which "the spaceship was more interesting than the people". This is one of those.

That's not to say this book doesn't have some redeeming qualities. It's thin, pulpy-looking, and a looks good on the bookshelf next to the rest of my Bradleys. I picked my copy up for a quarter at a garage sale. I wouldn't have paid a penny more.

Lady Anne's Deception
Published in Hardcover by Severn House Pub Ltd (November, 1991)
Author: Marion Chesney

ooh, this was bad
let me count the ways. no depth to the characters, even the main characters, everything written in a distant 3rd person, no way to get involved in the story. the only thing good about it is that it's short.

Mediated Women: Representations in Popular Culture (The Hampton Press Communication Series Political Communication)

Mediated Propaganda
This book was absolutely horrid! Would not recommend wasting my time or my eyesight. It was required reading for a class and I can't wait to get rid of it. If anyone's interested in seeing firstand how awful it is or picking up a copy for class, I'm selling mine (...). Bottom line-don't read it if you don't absolutely have to

Milady in Love

Absolutely terrible
Since I live outside of the US I love having books available for download (hint - more! more!). Hence, I downloaded this one. Big mistake. BIIIIIG mistake. I couldn't finish it and I truly thought it was one of the worst pieces of fiction that I've read since 'The Ginger Man', which was better written but of repugnant character.

Don't bother. I'm only giving it one star because the electronic form wouldn't allow me to give it no stars.

Programmed for Love (Sweet Dreams, No 87)
Published in Paperback by Bantam Books (May, 1985)
Author: Marion Crane
Average review score:

This book is worst thing that every happened to me.
One of my friends recommended this book to me and I shall never forgive him for that. In Programmed for Love we are introduced to a group of one dimensional characters that grope each other in stereotypical adolescant fashion. The lead character is plagued by the ex girlriend of her love interest who is upset that no one is giving her a feel. The story has as it's "unique hook" an online anonymous flirtation. The "mystery" of the book is whether or not the unknown flirter, STK1150 is actually the subject of our hero's lust. This is stupid. Normally the odds for this would be astronomical but the author has narrowed them to one in 112. I am annoyed that this book was ever published and I am disgusted in general by the genre of girl pulp fiction. There is nothing distinct about the book. It is the same plot as any other stupid girl pulp book only with the added "bonus" of the computer angle. I hope the author, Marion Crane, is run out of the publishing industry on a rail.
